The Saratoga School of Dance provides a family oriented, child friendly, environment for students ranging in age from 16 months to adults of all ages. Typically, dancers stay with the school for many years.
While the main emphasis is on age appropriate technique, we are not a competition school and equal importance is given to providing a fulfilling, fun environment for young dancers. Students are, however, well grounded in formal technique and are fully prepared to go to a competitive program should they choose. An annual recital is held in June. The school also has a summer camp in Los Gatos and participates in various special events.
Mrs.Terry Phillips (or Miss. Terry as she is universally known) is the owner and principal instructor. She has been teaching in the Saratoga area since 1975. Her professional training and performing career includes dancing with the Ballet Tacoma, San Francisco Ballet, and Oakland Metropolitan Ballet companies.
